Currently, it queries every time a character is entered, which greatly affects usability.
This query logic should be triggered only after the user finishes typing, pauses, or actively initiates the query.

To fully understand the issue, could you clarify which part of insomnia you mean when the query runs on every character typed?

1. Is it in the filter bar for collections/ workspace when searching for specific request or in request body?
2. Or in the console

The screen recording was done on my lightly used Mac, where you can see that after each character is entered, it immediately queries without waiting. In fact, on my heavily used Windows, this situation is even more severe. Probably because there are many APIs, the query speed is not as fast as Mac, and the delay is noticeable to the naked eye.
